Shocking news has just reached JG Towers from our Account Manager, Molly Loyd, who is currently holidaying in Miami.
Molly has taken a well deserved break from her usual day to day work of helping all our charities make the best use of the Justgiving website. However, things are never straightforward in the life of Ms Loyd, as her message from afar reveals:
"Have been stung by a portuguese man of war and have burnt my forehead"
As you can see below, these are no ordinary jellyfish, and that must have hurt a lot!
Fortunately for Molly, we have found an excellent Jellyfish website to find out how to treat the wound. Their advice can be found below:
"4. Use meat tenderizer; pour into your hand, add some water to make a paste, smear onto inflammed area.
5. If meat tenderizer is not available, pour vinegar or diluted ammonia on the area.
6. If vinegar or ammonia is not available, have the victim urinate on the inflammed area."
Let’s hope she had some meat tenderizer, ammonia or vinegar to hand…
